I launched Darling Creative Group in 2012. Darling is a specialist creative marketing and ecommerce consultancy with an extensive network of production and technology partners.

Ecommerce Creative & Marketing Specialist (2012 - Present)

  • Provide ecommerce strategy and planning advice transforming the company vision into reality.
  • Competitor, customer and market insights.
  • Analytics interpretation, cohort analysis and financial modeling.
  • Specialize in optimizing existing ecommerce sites and replatforming.
  • Design engaging website and marketing campaigns that balance brand experience with ROI.
  • Develop customer acquisition strategies across affiliate, SEO, paid search, email and social media marketing channels.
  • Manage, train and mentor client design and UX teams.
  • Documenting project requirements and technical specification.
  • Oversee technical partner selection and direct third-party resources to ensure work is completed on time to the highest standards.

I launched Pod1 in 2001. Pod1 was one of the first creative ecommerce and marketing agencies to match premium design with complex technology. We worked almost exclusively with premium fashion and luxury brands. I sold Pod1 in 2012 to Group FMG now Born Group

Pod1 Group CEO (2010 - 2012)

  • I set the group vision, revenue targets, budgets and group P&L
  • Led agency team of 120+ people in New York & London offices.
  • Promoted inter-agency collaboration, resource sharing and communication
  • Oversaw all executive recruitment, mentoring, training and board meetings for each agency
  • Setup off-shore development team in Cape Town boosing resources and reducing development costs

Pod1 New York CEO & Chief Digital Officer (2007 - 2010)

  • I setup and directed the New York agency, including generating new business, recruiting and mentoring a talented young team.
  • Led the project planning and strategy for key clients.
  • Headed the creative and UX teams, establishing good practice ecommerce and digital marketing design standards.
  • Setup the Social Media Marketing team.
  • Worked directly with many leading fashion designers, to help them achieve their online goals. These included John Varvatos, Kenneth Cole, Catherine Malandrino, Derek Lam, Nanette Lepore, Philip Stein and Anya Hindmarch to name but a few.
  • Spearheaded agency growth, gaining inclusion in the inc500 List of US Fastest Growing Companies and picking up numerous awards along the way

Pod1 London Managing Director & Creative Director (2001 - 2007)

  • I setup Pod1 London just as the dot-com bubble had burst. At the time, Ecommerce sites looked terrible and were difficult to use. My vision was to create beautiful sites that were usable and would generate profit for clients.
  • Responsible for growing the agency and managing the finances.
  • Led the project planning and strategy for key clients including, Shell, UN, Virgin and Uniqlo.
  • Headed the creative and front-end production teams, setting new standards in best practice ecommerce.
  • Designed many ecommerce innovations including the single page checkout and shoppable video lookbooks.
  • Oversaw the development of in-house proprietary email marketing, content management and ecommerce technology.
  • Pod1 London won numerous awards and was nominated Agency of the year for 3 consecutive years.

Chief Digital Officer / Co-Founder - Price Free (2013 - 2016)

A new disruptor online banking startup launching in the Russian market, offering an all-in-one payment and loyalty discount card to a demographic that was not able to access traditional banking facilities.

  • Recruited and led agile creative, production and technical teams.
  • Created the Price Free brand based on extensive market research and trend analysis.
  • Produced all online/offline assets, including the debit card design and phase 1 marketing/lead generation website.
  • Built phase 2 transactional banking website and mobile app.

Due to Russia/US macro-political factors, funding was pulled and the business was closed.


Founder / Code hacker - Da-r.com (2015 - Present)

Fascinated by the power of the short link, I created Da-r.com; a free link shortening service with optional additional premium features. Marketers can shorten links, adding a custom alias, link expiration date, password protection and with the ability to drive traffic to different end URLs based on the visitor's geographic location and device.Check it out D-ar.com.


Co-Founder - Kami Media (2005 - 2010)

Tapping into the growth of user-generated video, this niche site (kamikazevideos.com) was targeted at extreme sports enthusiasts and provided a form of light-entertainment that was not commonly available online. Videos were distributed to various online channels in Europe and Asia including MSN, Yahoo, Heavy.com and Extreme.


Co-Founder - List Ideas (2005 - 2010)

One of the original global online wishlist services. It used what was then pioneering technologies to provide the ever-growing user base the ability to create wishlists for all occasions and to bookmark content from any website.
